Siobhan Hanley

Director of Potential

 

Siobhan's passionate purpose is to help individuals realise their value and potential at, and through, work; and to support organisations in creating workforce synergy and flourishing, successful workplaces. 

 

Siobhán Hanley’s title of ‘Director of Potential’ sums up her mission and drive.  She is the founder and owner of Work Wellbeing, a Wellington-based workplace consultancy, whose key message is that ‘Work Matters’ and that (positive) ‘People Focus’ brings great results.  Siobhán is passionate about people fully realising their potential.  She believes that work can, and should, be the best expression of oneself, where one finds meaning and adds value.  She believes in workplaces where individual potential and value is realised collectively to bring workforce synergy, which in turn brings fulfilment, growth and success to all. 

 

Siobhán is an accredited strengths profiler and uses positive psychology principles and tools in her consultancy services to bring about her vision and mission.  She has decades of experience as a transformation catalyst across many sectors, and in many capacities, but always as a leader, motivator and energiser.  She is an accredited mentor and a long-time coach.  Her law and business background and organisational development focus, provide a solid platform for delivering successful solutions to clients.  She brings positivity, inspiration and vision to all that she does.

Siobhán’s corporate background is in Organisational Development, Communications and Change, together with many years of experience in event organisation and hospitality management. She has worked in a variety of sectors: Government; health; retail; not-for-profit; and tourism.  She holds an honours Law Degree and a Diploma in Business Management (Healthcare), has completed an intensive Legacy Leadership Development Programme and has studied communications. She is currently gaining formal accreditation in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing and is a student of practical philosophy.  

 

Enhancing, Empowering and Evolving individuals and organisations is a key driver for Siobhán.  She strongly believes in continuous learning and development as a critical success factor for individual and organisational success.  She has organised and presented numerous workshops, seminars and road-shows on a wide variety of topics including: work wellbeing, communications; change; effective teams; and personal transformation and growth.

 

Siobhán’s dedication to excellence, outstanding communication and inter-personal skills, together with her commitment and passion for bringing synergy and energy to what are often difficult and complex situations prove a winning combination.   She has gained extensive national and international media experience in her former roles of CEO of The Rose of Tralee International Festival and Official Spokesperson for the largest regional health board in Ireland.  As an award-winning communicator, she continues to inspire as a Motivational Speaker.

 

Siobhán has been actively involved in the voluntary sector including: special needs; youth; charities; and rugby clubs.  She has gained in-depth, hands-on experience both as a volunteer and a manager.  An avid sailor and former rugby player and referee, and the first female to become an Irish Rugby Union official, she brings passion and fun to all that she does.  

 

Originally a native of County Cork in Ireland, Siobhán is now a ‘kiwi’ citizen and calls Wellington, New Zealand home.
