Arc de Triomphe to Eiffel Tower

Location: Place Charles de Gaulle-Etoille to Avenue Gustave Eiffel
Closest Metro: Charles de Gaulle-Etoille to start and leave using the metro at Bir-Hakeim.

Notes: This is a demanding day taking a circuitous route, but it's worth it! You start at the Arc de Triomphe, and then head east down the Champs Elysees in the direction of the Concorde. When you get to Avenue Winston Churchill you turn right and head south past the Grand Palias and the Petit Palais to Pont Alexandre (a must), and then wander through Invalides (the free part at least) and past the Army Museum and Military School. On your right is the park that leads you to the Eiffel Tower.

From the Eiffel Tower the closest metro is Bir-Hakeim (which isn't that close really, so be prepared to walk about 15 minutes to get to it). This is a big day out, so wear comfy shoes.
